HAVA Big Local Community Forum & Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM)
Hear how the £1 million has been spent so far eg the new skate park and all other events and projects we have supported/ran
Tuesday November 6th
6 pm to 7.30 pm
At The Hawksworth Wood Conservative Club, Cragside Walk
Open to all local residents
We have exciting plans for the future we would like to show you, these include further development of the Cragside Park, potential new building, grants for residents to help support in a number of endeavours, community events and much more!
We would love to have your new ideas and projects, perhaps we can help you with a grant or support you on community project?
- Join the HAVA board – up to 5 places available. We would love to hear from you if you have questions on commitment and want to know more about becoming a board member – help us make this community even better!
- Get involved in action groups – these are the groups that concentrate on a specific area and do most of the planning and debate and get things moving forward – be a valued member! You don’t need to be a board member to join and get involved in any action group (except the Grants group).
Come see how you can apply for grants, for local enterprise and community activities. We have small grants up to £500 or large grants up to £4000 – Come along discuss your ideas and help make them a reality.
The EGM will discuss board members in more detail, discuss how board members are voted on and how we co opt residents on to the board without an AGM. This is all detailed in our terms of reference which we will have copies on hand.
A buffet of refreshments will be available.
We really do want to hear from you – the community! Please try to take the time to come along (even if only to show your face) and tell us how we are doing and the direction you would like the big local money spent moving forward.
We want to make this community better, supportive and an example of a great community spirit – help us make it so over a cuppa and a natter on 6th November at 6pm at the Con Club.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
