Big Local HAVA proud to announce launch of new website.
HAVA, the community group coordinating a major lottery grant for the Hawksworth Wood, Abbeydales and Vespers area in north Leeds, launched their new website this week and were pleased to announce that it was designed and built entirely in the HAVA area, by local residents, for free.
Tyrell Mobile, an app and web development agency based on Broadway in the Hawksworth Wood estate, offered to develop a new website following technical issues with the organisation’s previous site. As well as creating a new look and feel, the new site is packed with useful information about the organisation, HAVA news events and projects, its local partners and affiliates, and details of how to get more involved with HAVA activities.
HAVA Chair Kelly Baldacchino said: “We’re really excited to have a place to shout about our activities. It’s also brilliant that the site was developed locally by residents of the estate, and at no cost to HAVA. That means we can focus more of our National Lottery funding on delivering new events and services for local people, in line with our plans as an organisation.”
Duncan Scobie, Managing Partner of Tyrell Mobile commented “I recently joined the board of HAVA because I think it’s a great initiative for the area. As a long term resident of Hawksworth I chose this area to start my business in four years ago. We’re still based on the estate and it seemed like a natural fit to help HAVA out with their web development requirements. It’s great to be able to give something back to the local community.”
